INTERCEPT Project Launches to Strengthen Cross-Border Cybersecurity Cooperation with Tiko Pro on board

Novo mesto, Slovenia – The INTERCEPT project has officially kicked off, marking a significant step toward enhancing cybersecurity resilience in Slovenia and Croatia. Representatives from five partner organizations gathered for a two-day event to set the foundation for developing a Threat Sharing Platform (TSP) - a collaborative initiative aimed at improving cyber threat detection and response across borders.

The INTERCEPT project officially began on January 1st, 2025, and will run for 36 months. Its main objective is to enhance the Security Operations Centers (SOCs) in two countries through the development of essential technology and the creation of a cross-border cybersecurity collaboration in the form of a unified Threat Sharing Platform (TSP) to strengthen cooperation in combating cyber threats. A two-day event in Novo Mesto , Slovenia, held on 18 and 19 February, featuring a Kick-off Meeting organized by T-2, the project coordinator, marks first milestone of the project.

Funded by the Digital Europe Program (DEP) and supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre, the project brings together five partners from Slovenia and one from Croatia, all working together to enhance cross-border cybersecurity efforts.

Aligning Goals and Setting the Stage for Success

On February 18th, the first day of the INTERCEPT project Kick-off Meeting centered around team introductions, role clarifications, and defining the project structure. The session started with an overview of the roles and responsibilities of all partners, followed by detailed discussions on the project’s executive team, general assembly, ethical committee, and work package leaders. This set the stage for clear collaboration and alignment throughout the project.

On February 19th, the second day of the Kick-off Meeting, partners presented their work packages. Each work package was introduced in detail with its deliverables and project objectives to ensure a clear understanding of responsibilities and objectives moving forward.

Tiko Pro is leading the communication and dissemination efforts within the INTERCEPT project. The main goal of this work package is to promote INTERCEPT’s approaches and results through effective communication, dissemination, capacity building, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement. With expertise in strategic communication, deep knowledge of European programs, and a long-standing tradition in consulting, Tiko Pro solidifies its role as a key partner in communication and dissemination for European projects.

As the INTERCEPT project progresses, all partners are making significant strides in advancing their work packages. Updates will be shared through LinkedIn INTERCEPT Cybersecurity, and the official INTERCEPT website will be launched soon, providing further insights into the project's developments.
