DEP Opened Calls Worth €210 million
The new funding opportunities are ahead! Last month the European Commission opened calls planning to invest over €210 million in cybersecurity, digital capacities and technology under the Digital Europe Programme.
The Digital Europe Programme (2021-2027) aims to accelerate Europe’s recovery and drive its digital transformation by supporting the EU's twin objectives of a green transition and digital innovation. It also seeks to enhance the Union’s resilience and strategic autonomy. The programme funds projects in five key areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills, and ensuring a wide use of digital technologies across the economy and society.
Development and Deployment of Advanced Key Technologies

Expected Outcome: Deployment of state-of-the-art technologies in the area of cybersecurity Tools for automated threat detection, monitoring of networks, data protection and incident response
Objectives: To enable European cybersecurity actors to leverage breakthroughs in digital technologies for improved detection, prevention, efficiency, scalability, data sharing, and regulatory compliance, while strengthening their capacity to generate original Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).

Specialised Education Programmes in Key Capacity Areas

CEF Energy: Electricity, Gas, Smart Grids, Hydrogen and CO₂ networks
This call supports the implementation of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs) to build a robust energy infrastructure across Europe. These projects are aligned with the European Green Deal, aiming to decarbonize the energy sector and meet the 2030 climate and energy targets.
- Budget: €850 million (total)
- Co-funding rates are up to 50% for the costs of studies and works, and up to 70% for works in the outermost regions.
