Funded under the EU Digital Work Program, the INTERCEPT project aims to establish a central cross-border Threat Sharing Platform (TSP) centered on an advanced Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) platform. This initiative will enable each partner to seamlessly integrate the MISP platform into their internal operations, enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing across borders. By facilitating the exchange of enriched data among partners, the project strengthens collective cybersecurity efforts and fosters regional cooperation.
The INTERCEPT project focuses on the following key features:
- Automation and Efficiency: Streamlining data sharing and cybersecurity operations through automation.
- Knowledge Sharing: Promoting collaboration by sharing actionable intelligence across borders.
- Functional Development: Integration of advanced Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and Large Language Models (LLMs) into the MISP platform for enhanced capabilities.
- Comprehensive Data Aggregation: Aggregating data from diverse sources such as managed Security Operations Centers (SOCs), national entities like SI-CERT and CRO-CERT, and publicly accessible CTI repositories.
- Data Automation and Anonymization: Ensuring sensitive data is automatically anonymized to protect privacy and ensure compliance.
- Privacy and Compliance: Adhering to data privacy regulations while automating the anonymization process to safeguard sensitive information.
- Dissemination and Collaboration: Transmitting anonymized data to the Consortium MISP platform for distribution among partners and the wider cybersecurity community, enhancing regional cyber resilience.
The project’s goal is to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of SOCs in two countries by developing the necessary technology and establishing a cross-border cybersecurity cooperation framework through the TSP. This will facilitate efficient collaboration in tackling emerging cyber threats.
INTERCEPT gathers a consortium of five partners from Slovenia and Croatia, coordinated by T-2. The rest of the partners are: Končar Digital, Pošta Slovenije, Tiko Pro, Akademska in raziskovalna mreža Slovenije.
Tiko Pro is leading the dissemination efforts within the INTERCEPT project. As part of its key role, Tiko Pro will ensure that all stakeholders - ranging from cybersecurity professionals to national authorities - are kept informed about the project's progress and outcomes. Through strategic communication and outreach, Tiko Pro will foster awareness and engagement, facilitating the wider adoption of the MISP platform and ensuring that the project’s knowledge and resources are shared across borders. This dissemination effort will help promote cooperation, build capacity, and ensure the project's long-term impact on improving cybersecurity resilience in the region.
With a total project value of EUR 9.838.665,83, of which EUR 4 919 332.93 is co-financed by the European Union, INTERCEPT aims to empower SOCs across borders, enabling them to tackle cybersecurity challenges more effectively. By consolidating resources and expertise, the project fosters collaboration, ensuring the region’s continued resilience in the face of evolving cyber threats.
