Tiko Pro at the Forefront of Communication for ALiEnS-SOC Cybersecurity Project

Experts and key stakeholders in the electro-energy of Slovenia gathered end of January to officially launch ALiEnS-SOC, a pioneering project aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity framework of the electro-energy sector. The project, coordinated by ELES d.o.o., brings together 13 partners from Slovenia and Croatia, working collectively to enhance cyber resilience, improve threat detection and response, and safeguard Europe’s critical infrastructure against advanced cyber threats.

Date: 1. 02. 2025

The energy sector is at the heart of modern society, with an uninterrupted electricity supply being crucial for daily life. However, as cyber threats grow more sophisticated, ensuring the security of critical energy infrastructure has become a top priority. ALiEnS-SOC aims to tackle these challenges by developing an advanced, AI-driven cybersecurity system tailored for Security Operation Centers (SOCs) within 36 months. The project will introduce state-of-the-art AI technologies, cyber threat intelligence (CTI) sharing, and real-time response mechanisms to mitigate risks and ensure the resilience of the energy sector.

Funded under the European Commission’s cybersecurity initiatives, ALiEnS-SOC project brings together public and private sector experts, national authorities, SMEs, and technology providers to strengthen Europe’s defense against cyber threats.

The ALiEnS-SOC consortium is led by ELES doo - operater kombiniranega prenosnega in distribucijskega elektroenergetskega omrezja and includes the following partners: Informatika informacijske storitve in inzeniring dd, Smartis, informacijski sistemi d.o.o., Tiko Pro, podjetnisko svetovanje, doo, Akademska in raziskovalna mreza Slovenije, Urad Vlade Republike Slovenije za informacijsko varnost, Telekom Slovenije dd, Elektro Gorenjska podjetje za distribucijo elektricne energije dd, Elektro Celje d.d., Elektro Primorska, podjetje za distribucijo elektricne energije dd, Elektro Maribor, podjetje za distribucijo elektricne energije d.d. (EM), Elektro Ljubljana podjetje za distribucijo elektricne energije d.d. (EL), Koncar - Digital doo za digitalne usluge.

Tiko Pro, as one of the project partners, will lead the communication and dissemination activities. As the lead of this WP, Tiko Pro plays a vital role in ensuring that the project’s objectives, progress, and results are effectively communicated to stakeholders, the public, and the broader cybersecurity community. Their responsibilities include promoting the project’s innovative AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, facilitating knowledge exchange among partners, and engaging key stakeholders to maximize the impact of the project’s outcomes. Through these efforts, Tiko Pro will enhance the visibility of ALiEnS-SOC and contribute to its success in strengthening cybersecurity within the electro-energy sector.

This type of initiatives are of particular importance as their goal is to enhances national and EU cybersecurity capabilities, safeguard critical infrastructure, and reduce reliance on non-EU technologies by ensuring a more secure and independent energy grid.

ALiEnS-SOC aligns with the Digital Europe call by piloting and developing security and interoperability aspects of innovative cybersecurity systems. The project focuses on integrating AI-driven, open, and interoperable solutions that enhance the operational capabilities of SOCs at both national and cross-border levels. The project is co-funded by Digital Europe Programme and is supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.

With AI-driven cybersecurity tools, enhanced CTI sharing, and a strong network of stakeholders, ALiEnS-SOC is set to become a cornerstone for cyber resilience in the electro-energy sector. By strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty, the project will help secure the energy grid against evolving cyber threats, ensuring a safer, more resilient, and independent digital future.
